We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join our team in the Boca Raton area with a Defense, Military and Aerospace industry.
Full Time- Onsite- Direct Hire
$80,000-$100,000 a year salary plus benefit package
Morning shift
Overview : Manage the day to day activities of Assigned customer Activities :
- Primary point of contact with the customer for all project related communication.
- Process customer RFQ’s
- Defines customer requirements.
- Ensure all quality clauses required by customer are met.
- Research historical records for similar requirements
- Send quotations to the customer
- Process & manage customer’s purchase orders
- Ensures that each contract obligation is completed, reviewed and delivered on time in a high-quality format through all process functions.
- Liaison to customer on non-conformances & quality issues
- Identifies and evaluates sources of supply by researching internal and external databases and the Internet to find potential manufacturer or distributor sources in the United States
- Reviews and approves purchase documents to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and specification before submitting to suppliers
- Issue request for quotes to vendors
- Negotiating prices and obtaining goods / service with the best quality at the lowest possible costs
- Oversees supporting staff
Requirements :
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Education : BS in Mechanical Engineering is a+++
- Experience : 10 years total experience; and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant Program Management experience with military vehicle and / or defense component projects.
- Background in Supply Chain Management is a plus Programs : Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
