Job Description : We are currently seeking a dynamicand compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Austin, Texas.
The Speech Language Pathologist will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients with various communication disorders, as well as providing support to their families and caregivers.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of clients' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tests, clinical observations, and interviews.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Provide direct therapy services to clients, including individual sessions, group sessions, and consultations with caregivers and educational teams.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to address clients' speech, language, and communication needs, including articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, and expression.
- Monitor clients' progress throughout the course of therapy, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document session notes and progress reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, including Speech Language Pathologist Assistants, occupational therapists, psychologists, educators, and medical professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
- Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on strategies to facilitate communication and enhance functional skills in daily activities.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field of speech-language pathology, participate in continuing education opportunities, and maintain licensure and certification requirements.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Texas.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques for a wide range of communication disorders and populations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and professional conduct in the provision of speech-language pathology services.
