We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation and the Staff Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant performs patient care and patient related activities as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program. Successful completion of certification / state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants. Must be able to read regulations and write clearly. Must be able to communicate in courteous, friendly manner. Ability to effectively manage and direct subordinates. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies / personnel and the general public. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc, that are necessary for providing quality resident care.
