GENERAL SUMMARY
As a Digital Press Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality printed materials for our clients using our Canon ProStream digital printing press.
You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the press to ensure efficient and accurate production while meeting quality standards.
This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering top-notch results.
This opening is for our Third Shift which is a 12 hour, overnight shift.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Press Setup and Operation
- Set up and calibrate the Canon ProStream digital printing press for various print jobs.
- Load paper and ink, adjust print settings, and ensure proper alignment.
- Monitor and control print quality throughout production runs.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on the press to keep it in optimal condition.
- Troubleshoot and address minor technical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs when necessary.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct quality checks at regular intervals to ensure that printed materials meet client specifications.
- Make adjustments to maintain consistent print quality.
Production Efficiency
- Optimize production schedules to meet client deadlines and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Additional Duties
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of job specifications, production data, and equipment maintenance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and share suggestions with the production team.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Available to a 12-hour, overnight shift (5pm / 7pm 5a / 7am)
- Strong technical knowledge of digital printing equipment and processes.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for press operation and record keeping.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a printing environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
