We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Resource Management to lead the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive resource management program.

Reporting directly to the VP IT Strategy and Resources , this role will oversee all resource planning and allocation efforts, ensuring the optimal utilization of staff and contractors across projects.

The Director will also manage contractor hours and budgets, and work with vendors on contract negotiations and renewals.

The Director will grow and manage the resource management team, playing a key role in aligning resources with the organization's goals and ensuring operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Resource Planning and Allocation Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource plan to align with organizational goals and project needs.

Collaborate with project managers and department heads to forecast and allocate resources based on project demand. Ensure proper assignment of resources to projects based on skill sets, availability, and business priorities.

Capacity and Utilization Management Monitor resource capacity and workload to ensure optimal utilization across the organization.

Identify underutilized resources and redistribute them to maximize productivity. Anticipate future resource shortages or surpluses and make necessary adjustments.

Skills Management and Development Maintain a skills inventory for team members and ensure alignment with project needs.

Collaborate with HR to address skills gaps through training, hiring, or reskilling efforts. Ensure resources are placed on projects that utilize or develop their skill sets.

Data-Driven Decision Making Utilize resource management tools and data to provide insights on resource allocation, utilization, and team performance.

Develop and present regular reports and dashboards for senior leadership on key resource metrics. Adjust resource allocation strategies based on data insights to optimize efficiency.

Team Development and Growth Build, develop, and scale the resource management team to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities. Support and mentor team members to achieve high performance and professional growth.

Managing Contractors and Vendor Contracts Oversee contractor hours and budgets, ensuring compliance with contract terms.

Work closely with vendors to negotiate and manage contracts, including renewals and amendments. Track contractor performance and ensure proper alignment with project requirements and budgets.

Required Qualifications :

Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (.

PMP, SPHR) preferred.

Experience Minimum of 8 years of experience in resource management, project management, or HR. At least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing resource planning and allocation.

Proven experience in building and scaling resource management teams and processes. Strong familiarity with resource management tools and software.

Skills and Competencies Strategic Thinking : Ability to design and implement long-term resource strategies. Leadership : Strong team leadership with a focus on developing and scaling teams.

Data-Driven Decision Making : Proficiency in analyzing resource data and leveraging insights for decision-making. Communication : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across departments and influence stakeholders.

Problem-Solving : Proven ability to identify and address resource-related challenges effectively. Organizational Skills : Exceptional multitasking abilities, managing multiple projects and priorities efficiently.

Vendor and Contract Management : Experience in managing contractor hours, budgets, and negotiating vendor contracts. Technical Proficiency : Expertise in resource management tools, project management software, and data analysis platforms.
