Audit Supervisor - Commercial

Summary : As an Audit Supervisor at Widmer Roel, you will play a key role in supporting and leading commercial audit engagements, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.

You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide valuable insights to improve their financial operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead audit engagements from planning to completion with assigned team.
• Provide expertise in audit planning and performance, ensuring high-quality engagements and reducing issues before partner / manager review.
• Collaborate with audit partner and manager to support the commercial entities practice, facilitating project management and engagement leadership.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their concerns and providing strategic guidance.
• Mentor and lead audit team.
• Perform risk assessment and develop audit plans to address potential issues.
• Review financial statements and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including webcasts and conferences, to enhance expertise in commercial audits.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulations to provide expert guidance to clients.
• Travel required.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with a minor in accounting.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of external audit experience including one year experience supervising audit engagements.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and regulations.
• Exceptional technical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay and Benefits :

• $65,000-$85,000 annual salary
