As a BTE Engineer, you will be responsible for developing test equipment and test software used for maintaining Propulsion and Train Control Management System electronics used for railway systems.
Some of your key responsibilities will include :
- Gain full technical understanding of the module assigned.
- Create Test Package Sets for electronic modules, both Power and Low Voltage.
- Test Package Set development includes Software Requirement Specification (SRS), Test Fixture, and Test Software development using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Create / review component level diagnostic software.
- Peer Review of team member deliverables; SRS, Test Fixture Design, Test Software, Test Documentation.
- Develop Test Software Documentation to IEEE-1012 standard.
- Opportunity to travel to customer sites located in the US and Internationally. Once on site, you would install the equipment, perform qualification testing with the customer, and provide customer training.
- Contribute to new solutions for obsolete electronics including BTE test instruments, electrical and mechanical components.
- Collaborating with purchasing, quality, and industrialization functions to ensure successful delivery of equipment to customers.
- Managing design change and waiver requests related to non-compliances.

Required Qualifications :
- At least 2 years of experience in Bench Test Equipment design, or related work.
- Fluent in English.
- Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage project tasks.
- Knowledge and compliance of EHS rules / standards.
- Professional Ethics and a sense of responsibility.
- Team Player.
Education :
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Skilled practice of cable modeling software, simulation software, and product lifecycle management tools.
