Summary of Position :
As the General Audit Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing client assignments and projects while ensuring the delivery of high-quality service.
In this role, you will coach, advise, and support team members in meeting both client and self-development expectations.
Additionally, you will manage financial statement audits and accounting engagements, monitor progress in relation to budgets and due dates, and maintain client relationships.
Responsibilities :
- Set clear performance expectations and lead teams to meet and exceed them.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the firm's structure, its services, and its clients.
- Strive to exceed the effective utilization rate and track the progress of assignment teams in achieving their utilization goals.
- Stay informed about client targets and proposal initiatives across the firm and actively contribute to the sales and proposal process.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability.
- Participate in initiatives to recruit talented individuals, including attending career and recruitment forums, conducting interviews, and engaging with potential recruits.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance to meet client demands during busy seasons.
- Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities and resources to successfully meet assignment objectives.
- Provide clear direction to the team to ensure assignment quality standards are met.
- Manage assignment budget, anticipate and communicate budget issues, identify opportunities to improve profitability, prepare billings, and assist in cash collection.
- Achieve a total chargeable hours goal of 1,650 hours.
- Enhance engagement realization in client projects.
- Participate in business development opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
- Contribute to people development initiatives by mentoring and guiding team members.
- Effectively plan and manage projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables within budget.
- Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of tools, systems, and processes relevant to your discipline and apply them effectively.
- Identify potential problems and barriers in advance and collaborate on developing plans to address them.
Education and Experience :
- Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
- Must be a CPA certified.
- Minimum of five years' progressive audit experience in public accounting or a related field.
Qualifications / Skills Required :
- Demonstrate the ability to identify key stakeholders and develop strong working relationships.
- Exhibit strong negotiation and persuasion skills while maintaining integrity in client interactions and sales processes.
- Possess excellent presentation skills.
- Always remain attentive to opportunities for providing additional services to clients.
- Engage actively in recruiting talented individuals through career and recruitment forums, interviews, and interactions with potential candidates.
