Forklift Operator - Conroe, TX 1st Shift
JOB SUMMARY : Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy / agricultural equipment that may include front end loader, grinders, and forklift.
Shift : Monday - Friday; 1PM-11PM, Alternating Saturdays 8AM - 12PM
Safety : This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his / her safety as well as the safety of others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Always operate equipment in a safe manner
- Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned / approved destination.
- Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
- Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment.
- Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment / tools setup.
- Maintain operation records.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :
- Communication skills verbal and written.
- Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to follow directions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operator work experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, lifting to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing
- The employee is subject to confined spaces.
- The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions : No effective protection from weather.
- The employee is subject atmospheric conditions.
- The employee is subject to hazards : Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.
- This position requires overtime.

Education Preferred : High School or better.
