JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for theoversight of Financial forecasting and reporting of a multi-siteRegion. Responsible for providing insight and analysis offinancial operating results.
Identifies trends and providesrecommendations for various profitability drivers, includingrevenue, margin, SG&A expense management, and working capitalmanagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES Determine the key drivers of variancesversus plan and last year's results. Identify underperformingcustomers and vendors and the key drivers of profitability.
Makerecommendations to management to improve profitability. Providespecific analysis as to the key drivers of SG&A expenses andthe key drivers as to variances to plan and last year.
Identifyopportunities to control costs and reduce expenses. Quantify thefinancial impact of key cost control initiatives.
May participatein the credit committee, and other initiatives. Assist Region VicePresident Finance and Market Vice President Finance with thepreparation in the Region forecast.
Ensure overall trends and theimpacts of key initiatives are reflected accurately in the monthlyRegion forecast. Work with each department to ensure theyunderstand the overall forecast and how the impact of the keyinitiatives they are responsible for is reflected in the forecast.
Play a key role in the preparation of the annual profit plan (AOP)Assure overall trends and the impacts of key initiatives arereflected accurately in the annual profit plan.
Participate in therecruiting and training of the finance analyst. Responsible forperformance management and development of finance analystIndividual must champion and be the local expert in Sysco'sanalytical toolbox.
Monitor and recommend on methods to improveprofitability of customers Education Bachelor's degree in Finance,Business, Accounting, or Economics required.
MBA preferred.Experience At least 3 years of financial analyst and / or accountingexperience required. Prior managerial experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations NA Professional SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able toread, write and speak English.
Analyze data and draw logicalconclusions and recommendations from the data. Ability to lead anddirect clerical positions.
