Job Summary :
Join our client's team as a Buyer in the Purchasing Department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential for the organization's operations.
Your key responsibilities will include building vendor relationships, ensuring quality control, and streamlining the purchasing process.
Responsibilities :
- Review requisitions and establish strong vendor partnerships
- Manage supplier performance to enhance quality and on-time delivery
- Liaise with vendors to obtain product information and negotiate pricing
- Create and process purchase orders or bid requests
- Maintain accurate procurement records and monitor inventory levels
- Address and resolve issues with defective goods or services
- Expedite delivery of products to meet deadlines
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain processes
- Conduct quality checks on all sales orders and ensure accuracy
- Assist with quoting to support the sales team
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain-related roles
- Proficiency in Quantum purchase order software module
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
