Job Summary
As a Support Coordinator I, you will help people with disabilities to perform their job successfully within a production environment.
You will help people with disabilities grow their skills and gain independence to the greatest extent possible.
- Wage : $18.00 per hour
- We have creative schedules that allow you to work with us on either a part-time or full-time basis.
How will you make a difference?
As part of team, you will help our people with disabilities in the following areas :
- Provides case management so that our services are initiated, provided, evaluated and communicated effectively both internally & externally
- Enter attendance and work records daily into our computer system for our people with disabilities
- Provide training and instruction to people with disabilities within a production environment
- Supervises work activities so that they are taking place in a safe manner. Ensures that independence, integration, and inclusion are occurring within the work activity.
- Maintains a calm, neutral tone, and emotion level when assisting people with disabilities, who are expressing heightened communication styles.
- Implements lessons and activities that provide our people with disabilities opportunities to learn and practice job skills
- Learn what it means to successfully work with others
- Bring meaning to their lives by having a job that they enjoy
What will you bring to Opportunity Partners?
To qualify as a Designated Coordinator, you must meet one of the following criteria :
- You must Preferred : a 4-year degree in Human Services or a related field plus at least on year of experience in the human service industry;
- A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
- An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
- A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
- A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications listed above.
