Overview
AIR's Information Technology (IT) team is seeking an IT Purchasing Specialist to join its innovative group. The Information Technology team provides a secure technology environment that allows AIR to become more productive (quantity) and efficient (quality).
This position reports to the Business Process Architect, IT.

Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations.
This does not include U.S. territories.

Responsibilities
Essential job functions include but are not limited to :
- Manage the software and subscription life cycle.
- Coordinate and process software license and service renewals.
- Monitor license usage and act to ensure compliance.
- Process hardware purchases.
- Request quotes and conduct price negotiations with major vendors and subcontractors.
- Obtain vendor's applicable Software licenses / terms & conditions / terms of service as applicable and ensure AIR Software license use questionnaire is complete and accurate.
- Provide audit and oversight to ensure AIR staff follow all license terms and conditions.
- Analyze and execute IT procurement requests ensuring adherence to AIR's Purchasing processes.
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or any related field along with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive experience with developing reports from large data sets, including advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with Software Asset Management systems is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience with Software License terms desired but not required.

- Effective communicator with the ability to work with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds in a virtual work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and collaboratively as needed, while prioritizing multiple objectives and projects to consistently meet established timelines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others in connecting disparate ideas into cohesive solutions with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using standard Microsoft 365, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual work environment.
Disclosures :
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

AIR's Total Rewards Program is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission.
This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $98,000 - $103,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets.
Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
