This position will be based either in Wilsonville, Oregon or Boise, Idaho

Under direction from the Information Technology (IT) Director, the Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and upgrading Life Flight Network’s (LFN) information systems in adherence with company objectives.

This includes troubleshooting and resolving issues, interacting directly with the end user in meeting requests, training, and installing hardware and software.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience :

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred, Associates Degree required.
  • Microsoft MCSA or MCSE desired.
  • 5 years of experience supporting a multi node, multi-site, Microsoft server environment, preferably in a healthcare or emergency services environment.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in Windows server 2008 through 2019 operating systems.
  • Experience with the integration of cloud technologies and on-premise infrastructure is desired.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementations of server operating systems, software systems, virtualization environments, applications, and related products.
  • Experience managing environments consisting of 50+ Windows servers including enterprise class virtual systems running VMware vSphere.
  • Strong understanding of storage architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Understanding and experience designing and administrating Microsoft Active Directory domain services including but not limited to Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, OU configuration, account and security group configuration.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Design, implement, and oversee the following technologies :

  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft SQL
  • Microsoft Sharepoint
  • Linux Enterprise Backup Software
  • Microsoft IIS Servers
  • Microsoft SFTP Servers
  • Microsoft RDS
  • PowerShell Scripting.
  • Install, configure, maintain and upgrade monitoring systems
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
  • Configure and / or add new services as necessary.
  • Update and maintain ticket reporting system, incidents, and technical documentation within specified timeframes.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and autonomously, assisting department in varying tasks as department workload necessitates.
  • Proficient balancing and prioritizing customer requests and department directives.
  • Participate in trouble-shooting meetings to deliver information on system performance
  • May be required to be on-call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for set periods of time on a departmental rotational basis.
