Who we are looking for :
The HR Business Partner will serve as a people partner to Martha's Vineyard and family of businesses. This individual will provide guidance and support in all aspects of human resources management.
This is a new role that will develop collaboratively with owners and leadership to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
These objectives will support an inclusive and high-performance culture to drive initiatives that will attract, develop, and retain top talent.
We're looking for an experienced HR professional that fosters community, culture, and collaboration, while approaching work with focus, integrity, and humility.
We are looking for the HR Business Partner to have the following experience and skill sets :
- Bachelor's degree in HR or similar, along with 3+ years of experience partnering with leaders to develop HR strategies (field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Oversee the benefits administration processes, including enrollment, communication, and vendor management.
- Manage the recruiting process by partnering with hiring managers to define job requirements, establish job descriptions, conduct interviews, make offers of employment, and facilitate the onboarding process (including orientation and new hire paperwork).
- Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent. This includes assisting management with career development, performance management, and facilitating and developing training initiatives that align with the objectives of the specified business and departments.
- Develop and maintain a compensation and benefits program, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and separations in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Develop, update, and audit HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company standards.
Drive improvements through analysis of trends and established metrics.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and the point of contact for employees on HR-related matters. Provide insights and recommendations to support business objectives, drive organizational effectiveness, and answer HR related inquiries and concerns.
