Director of Nursing
This Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, coordination and evaluation of the Nursing function for the Hospital.
This role serves as a member of the senior management team advising on clinical initiatives and leading a comprehensive hospital wide nursing program with a focus on high-quality, compassionate and therapeutic patient care for all patients on the Child & Adolescent Units.
The Director of Nursing will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care;
ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing, coordinating the activities of the facilities infection control program and to assess the facility’s staff development needs in collaboration with directors of varying departments.
The Director of Nursing participates in the hospital’s strategic planning, joint commission standards and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.

Compass Intervention Center is a 108-bed behavioral health hospital located in Memphis, Tennessee. Compass treats children and adolescents that suffer from a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including, depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern and well-appointed facility.
Compass Intervention Center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment.
Qualifications
Requirements / Experience :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN. Prefer 5 years clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population, 3 years previous clinical supervisory role in an inpatient psychiatric setting and administrative / management experience.
Licensure :
Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse. American Nursing Association Psychiatric Mental Health Certificate preferred.
