COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Lead and oversee effective internal and external communications strategies that raise awareness and accomplish measurable goals for Worship Center and its ministries.
This person reports to the Digital & Communications Director.
Schedule
Fulltime, salaried position. Exempt.
Experience & Abilities
- Education : Degree or equivalent work experience in Communications
- Experience : Project management and copywriting. Brand marketing experience is a plus.
- License / Certification : Valid PA driver’s license.
- Specific Abilities : Proficient in Apple operating systems. Possesses good communication skills and an understanding of communications / marketing techniques using print, web, email, social media, and other media formats.
Strategic white canvas thinker, detail-oriented, with strong creative writing skills. A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills who can also work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and implement best practice communications standards, plans, and systems that establish how Worship Center handles internal and external messaging.
- Collaborate with leadership to create communication strategies that reach various target audiences effectively with both print and digital offerings with messages that support Worship Center’s strategic goals, mission, and brand.
- Serve as the lead contact to other ministries for communication plans.
- Serve as project manager for project pitches and requests using web-based project management software. Coordinate the ordering of organizational promotional material through local vendors.
- Lead, manage, and implement education and training for best practices for internal and external communications.
- Lead and manage church email offerings.
- Serve as editor for content and provide copywriting, which includes blog posts, articles, stories, and scripts for ministry projects when needed.
- Collaborate with team when needed for digital content production.
- Other duties as assigned.
