Job Description Summary

As a Senior Front-end Engineer / Full Stack Engineer in the AI organization, you will take on leadership roles in software development to drive our front-end initiatives and potentially full stack capabilities.

You'll be a critical part of a dynamic team that integrates design and functionality, bringing products from concept to production with a mercenary-like initiative.

This role is suited for someone who is passionate about creating seamless user experiences and building robust, scalable systems.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain web applications for AI solutions that handle high volumes of data, focusing on creating intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
  • Lead the design and implementation of our internal systems, including a design system that is pivotal to our application consistency and quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to ensure our applications meet high standards of usability and accessibility.
  • Spearhead the integration of cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to keep our development practices ahead of the curve.
  • Maintain and elevate our codebase by reviewing code, refactoring, and optimizing to improve performance and scalability.
  • Mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Drive the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.

What You'll Need :

4+ years of experience in front-end or full stack development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.

Experiences related to cloud-based AI solutions are highly preferred.

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript and frameworks like React / Next, Vue, or Angular.
  • A deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and general data management flows.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration / deployment (CI / CD) and version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to tackle complex issues in a systematic manner.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in technical lead roles, with a desire to drive projects forward and take ownership of outcomes.

Nice to Have :

  • Experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS / Azure, and microservices.
  • Background in healthcare technology or working with large, distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and the ability to implement such features in a user-centric design.
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages or frameworks beneficial to frontend or full stack development.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in the greater Seattle Area.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $150,144.00-$225,216.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.

In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI).
