Position Description :
This position is responsible for greeting, collecting and processing all non-scheduled patients to gather the necessary demographic information required in accordance with all regulations and hospital policies to provide care for the patients, procure reimbursement verification from third parties and maintain records appropriately.
Job Duties :
- Demonstrates a good understanding of Insurance processing requirements i.e.; (verification, authorization, terms, requirements and regulations).
- Can accurately calculate patient liability based on information obtained through verification process.
- Demonstrates the ability to utilize all types of office equipment such as fax machine, scanner, copier, embosser, etc.
- Ability to explain all required forms inherent to the registration process. i.e.; Living Will, MSP questionnaire, financial authorization, Search America release, etc.

Qualifications
Requirements :
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a health care facility or equivalent. Supervisory Experience preferred.
- Medical Terminology (Basic), Phone etiquette, Microsoft excel, good mathematical skills, detail oriented. Knowledge of insurance processing requirements (auth, verification, terms, and regulations), analytical skills.
