JobDescription :
Performing routinemaintenance on forklifts is a key aspect of this role encompassingtasks such as inspecting cleaning and lubricating parts to upholdoptimal performance standards.
Additionally diagnosing andtroubleshooting mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues iscrucial followed by implementing appropriate repairs.
Regularsafety inspections are conducted to identify and mitigate potentialhazards ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
Repairing orreplacing damaged or malfunctioning components such as enginesbrakes transmissions and steering mechanisms is also part of thejob.
Detailed records of maintenance and repair work includingparts used and labor hours are meticulously maintained. Afterrepairs performance tests are conducted to verify properfunctionality and safety compliance.
Collaborating with teammembers to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks minimizesdowntime. Providing training and guidance to operators on properforklift usage and maintenance procedures is essential.
Stayingabreast of industry trends and technological advancements inforklifts enhances maintenance practices and operationalefficiency.
Requirements :
Musthave extensive experience as a forklift mechanic. Strong knowledgeof mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems with the ability todiagnose and repair complex issues.
Proficiency in using diagnostictools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs. Excellentattention to detail and problemsolving skills.
Excellentorganizational and timemanagement skills to prioritize taskseffectively. Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects asthe role may involve manual handling.
Ability to work well in ateam and follow instructions from supervisors. Must have a validdrivers license. Must be able to pass a 10panel drug screen andhave a national backgroundcheck.
