This position reports to the Section Administrator. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following : Coordinate the Injury, Safety & Violence Priority Area Workgroup (PAW), including workgroup and sub-workgroup meeting planning, activity implementation, monitoring of efforts and measures, and documenting proceedings / information (etc.

Responsible for ensuring Florida complies with having a comprehensive state plan required by section 401.243, Florida Statutes.

Assists in the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the comprehensive injury prevention state plan which includes strategic planning and program development and the coordination of assigned plan goal(s) and stakeholder group(s) For example : Agency Plan and State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP).

Coordinate Department of Health Human Trafficking initiatives and the internal Human Trafficking Workgroup, including meeting planning, activity implementation and completion, monitoring of efforts and measures, and documenting proceedings / information (etc.

Responsible for ensuring the Department of Health complies with the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking's implementation plan, specifically the Services and Resources Committee, and ensure Department of Health representation.

Provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders and staff on violence and injury prevention efforts, including updating Technical Assistance Guidelines (TAG) and ensuring county health departments are trained and have all necessary information to provide services.

Serve as Violence and Injury Prevention Section webmaster to ensure creation, implementation, and maintenance of functionality, appearance, and accuracy of internal and public websites / dashboards / portals for both intentional and unintentional injury prevention based on the information provided from content experts within section.

Serve as Coordinator of the Sexual Violence data Registry, responsible for assessing and analyzing the data registry, ensuring data reports are provided as needed.

Provide technical assistance to individuals about SVDR. Conduct and compile customer satisfaction survey.Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Knowledge of violence and injury prevention; data collection and analysis; contract management;

plan, organize, and coordinates work assignments; writes and communicates effectively and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with others (strong communications skills - both written and orally).

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Contract Manager - Serves as contract manager as required by section 287.057(15), Florida Statutes (as deemed necessary by the Section Administrator).

Incumbent may be required to work before, during and / or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.

Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
