Description
TransPerfect Connect is actively seeking experienced ASL Interpreters to work remotely with our state-of-art VRI platform.
Candidates must possess American Sign Language (ASL) and / or English transliteration as well as spoken English skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL), and / or English transliteration and spoken English, through web-based VRI system
- Answering inbound VRI sessions in a timely manner
- Provide superior customer service
- All other duties as assigned by Manager (may include, but not limited to, video and web based ASL recorded translations)
Qualifications / Experience
- Licensed in the state of Arizona
- Active RID certification
- Maintain, as applicable, compliance with any national, state, or local licensure and / or certification requirements
- Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Professional and positive phone manner with clients from all types of businesses
- Experience with VRS or VRI systems (preferred)
- PC Trouble shooting skills preferred
- At least 6 months of interpreting experience
