JOB SUMMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Under the general direction of the Intake Manager, the Clinical Office Assistant receives, records, and schedules Medicare certified patient services according to the patients' needs and staffing availability.
- Provides clinical support to the Intake Manager related to operational needs.
- Performs appropriate and timely follow-up in response to patients’ services and clinical needs.
- Provides day-to-day staff and administrative assistance; triages and schedules patients; screens and refers phone calls;
communicates with clinical staff and patients; clerical and staff support to clinical teams and assists with clinical processes as required.

- Seeing, speaking, hearing, finger dexterity.
- Constant : reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm / hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.
- Frequent : walking, standing, stooping / bending, and twisting body.
- Occasional : lifting / carrying weight up to 35 pounds, pushing / pulling 3.5 pounds of force.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
A. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE :
High school diploma or equivalent.
B. EXPERIENCE
- Prior clerical office experience answering telephones, operating office equipment with accuracy, and contact with people.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to operate various office equipment such as computers, facsimile, calculator, and copier.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
