The Opportunity
The Engineering Planner / Buyer is responsible for planning and scheduling day-to-day maintenance and calibration activities across the site and the procurement of engineering spare parts, consumables, tools, and services.
The role also performs CMMS asset management activities and archiving of engineering documentation.
Role Responsibility
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including :
Scheduling, assignment and tracking the execution of preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibrations, etc.
for site assets through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Manage asset life cycle through the CMMS.
Generating CMMS reports and scorecards of engineering performance.
Proactively work with engineering personnel to ensure they have the tools, spare parts, materials, and supplies required to accomplish assigned tasks.
Initiate purchase requisitions, verify receipt of goods and services, and process all invoices to ensure financial commitments are paid in the correct period.
Assist personnel in submitting engineering calibration and maintenance documentation for review and approval to ensure proper flow of documents.
Oversees the flow of the engineering work order documentation from issuance to submission and final approval.
Coordinate with document control department and departmental managers on issuance and reconciliation of engineering documentation to ensure smooth flow of documents, timely execution of work, and cGMP compliance.
Supporting the clerical and administrative aspects of engineering projects to ensure smooth execution.
Managing the engineering document archive.
Other departmental administrative support tasks, as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate

High school diploma or GED.
Associate or higher degree desirable.
Certificate or certification in planning and / or project management desirable.
Minimum of 3 years prior experience working in an engineering / maintenance department. Experience working in a cGMP environment desirable.
Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule engineering / maintenance work. Practical experience performing equipment and / or facilities maintenance activities desirable.
Proficient / fluent in English. Fully bilingual English / Spanish desirable.
Computer literate with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, CMMS and purchasing systems.
Highly organized, results-oriented with an attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
