Shift Details :

1st Shift : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM.

Job Purpose :

The VP of Logistics is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's end-to-end logistics operations. This strategic leadership role ensures the efficient movement of goods, cost-effective operations, and timely delivery, while driving innovation and continuous improvement across all logistics functions.

The VP of Logistics collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with broader organizational goals and deliver exceptional customer service.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving innovation and leveraging emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Oversee the entire logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maximizing profitability.
  • Partner with the Sales team to drive revenue growth and optimize logistics for existing and new customer accounts. Work closely with procurement, production, and other key departments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to create training programs that enhance the skills and performance of logistics personnel.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor logistics efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance and strategy to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, while identifying and mitigating risks in logistics operations.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products to enhance customer satisfaction and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Collaborate with the Tech team to implement logistics automation tools and analytics to optimize processes.
  • Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and accountability within the logistics department.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and technology, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong customer orientation with a proactive approach to addressing logistics challenges and opportunities.
  • Forklift certification and experience with advanced logistics technologies.
