Senior Accountant

A Day in Your Life at MKS :

As a Senior Accountant at MKS, you will partner with the other team members to help accumulate financial information for external reporting and management reporting decisions.

You will be involved with the financial close, assist in the preparation of quarterly SEC Filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.

and have the opportunity to recommend continuous improvement ideas. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days / week in our Andover, MA office.

You Will Make an Impact By :

• Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including footnotes, MD&A and XBRL requirements
• Assist with preparing full set of financial statements and schedules for earnings call
• Research technical accounting issues, including accounting standards and document conclusions
• Support external and internal auditors for schedule requests and internal control testing
• Assist with the annual goodwill impairment analysis
• Other management projects and ad hoc reporting, as needed

Skills You Bring :

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience (some public accounting experience preferred)
• Experience and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data drawn from multiple sources to find problems and make effective recommendations
• Excellent organization and analytical skills and a focus on attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and with all levels of management throughout the organization

Preferred Skills :

• Public Accounting background desirable
• CPA preferred
• Experience / Knowledge of Hyperion Enterprise / HFM, Oracle / SAP and advanced Microsoft excel skills
• Prior experience working in an external financial reporting role a plus
