gpac is partnered with a contractor on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you will play a key part in designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
Qualifications :
- 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred; EITs considered
- Proficiency in design software like MicroStation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Sketchup
- Knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM, and E-Tabs
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and roadway design standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Team player with strong organizational skills and a commitment to staying current on industry trends
Position Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the design team to create roadway designs that meet local regulations and industry standards.
- Develop project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
- Prepare engineering specifications and select materials for road construction and maintenance.
- Design road alignments, intersections, and transportation facilities with safety and accessibility in mind.
- Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide technical support during construction, including plan reviews and overseeing project progress.
- Conduct inspections to ensure design standards are met.
- Integrate environmental considerations, such as stormwater management, into roadway designs.
- Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) and manage structural design projects.
