SIS has an immediate opportunity available for a Project Manager / Team Lead, to support one of our 18 IT Air Force programs at Wright-Patterson AFB.

This IT program is scheduled to conclude at the end of Feb 2025, so we need a PM that can oversee the program through contract end.

The work will continue on another contract, and Stellar will be submitting a proposal for that contract. For this position, the PM can choose to work either on a salaried or hourly basis.

THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION LOCATED AT WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB IN DAYTON, OH. Primary Duties : Organizes, directs, and manages the task requirements.

Develops schedules, coordinates resources, and serves as technical lead. Meets with Government personnel and contractor personnel to formulate and review task order plans and deliverable items.

Ensures conformance with task order schedules and costs. Must have demonstrated capability for oral and written communications with all levels of management.

Must have a thorough knowledge of the capabilities of applicable computer and communications configurations. Secondary Duties : Supervises staff of 20+ personnel providing Information Technology Support to 1,600 users and 3,200 network accounts (unclassified and classified) with the AFLCMC / WI directorate.

Plan, coordinate, schedule, track, and report on all Information Technology projects. Conduct Communications and Computer System Analysis, special studies and process reviews.

Manage incident response and trouble ticket assignments for Information Technology support team. Supervise personnel performing the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) role and ISSO duties.

Ensure all systems meet Department of Defense, Air Force and local installation security requirements. Supervise acquisition and distribution of new Information Technology assets.

Provide guidance to directorate leadership on future technology and implementation. Provide budgetary information for Information Technology requirements.

Education : Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline is desired but will accept an A.

S. Computer Science degree with 10 years of experience. Experience and Certifications : Five (5) years of specific experience in managing the overall operating functions of a modern medium or large-scale computer environment including responsibility for such activities as computer network operations, hardware and software maintenance, customer support, and production control will be evaluated for acceptability as specialized experience.

Must have DoD Project Management / Team Lead experience leading IT Customer Support projects. Must have demonstrated management expertise through the effective use of project management scheduling tools.

Must have proven expertise in the management and control of funds and resources and demonstrated capability in managing multi-task task orders of this type and complexity will be considered as acceptable specialized experience.

MUST hold a current / active TS / SCI security clearance. MUST hold a current / active IAT II (i.e., Security+) or higher-level certification.
