Our client, Princeton University, has an immediate need for a Part Time Event Coordinator / Administrative Assistant . Your primary responsibilities will include managing administrative tasks, coordinating events, and ensuring the office runs smoothly.
This position requires you to be on-site , working closely with the team to maintain an efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to handle various tasks efficiently.
There is a strong preference for a candidate who has previously worked in higher education before. This position pays $25 / hr.
Schedule Requirements :
- 4-5 hours per day
- Work on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
- Available for placement through February 2025
Key Responsibilities :
- Event Planning :
- Assist in planning and organizing company events, meetings, and team-building activities.
- Handle logistics such as venue selection, catering, and materials preparation
- Administrative Support :
- Provide administrative assistance to staff members.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings where needed
- Prepare and format documents, reports, and presentations using MS Office and Google Docs.
- Ad Hoc Administrative Tasks :
- Assist with special projects as assigned by staff.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Support team members with various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications :
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Docs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
