Job Title : DevSecOps Engineer
Location : Huntsville, AL
Clearance : DoD Secret
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will have phenomenal learning opportunities and exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers within a collaborative, fast-paced workplace.
We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented individuals to help us grow our capabilities and develop the next generation of strategic deterrent technologies.
In this role, you will drive unification and automation of processes, enabling the development of software across the entire GWS system.
You will combine your knowledge of code, application maintenance, and application management with a deep understanding of DevSecOps culture, philosophy, practices, and tools.
This role involves collaborating with DevSecOps and engineering teams to optimize development pipelines, ensure best practices, and maintain consistency in tools and standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain fully automated Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI / CD) pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Build and deploy containers using containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Automate build and configuration processes with tools like Ansible.
- Enable Agile collaboration using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies to support scalable, secure solutions.
- Deploy and maintain applications on Kubernetes clusters.
- Support in-person work in a closed-area environment 100% of the time.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of experience (max 6 years total experience).
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Recent experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with Agile principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
- U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc.).
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with PaaS (Platform as a Service) infrastructure.
Additional Experience (Preferred) :
- Experience with CI / CD tools, branching strategies, and source-controlled management.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), Jenkins, and Nexus repositories.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Programming and scripting experience in both UNIX (C++, Perl, Python, Bash) and Windows (PowerShell) environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaaS) tools like Terraform and Helm.
