Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Manager of Visitor Services is also responsible for managing daily campus visit processes to ensure that students and staff are prepared to welcome visitors.
This individual will oversee special visit experiences for admitted students to include planning, training, scheduling staff, and assessment of these visit activities.
This individual will be expected to establish and maintain relationships with campus partners. This individual will be required to work effectively as a member of a team.
This individual also supports visitor reception activities, assessment activities across the department but especially within the campus partners.
Some night and weekend work and occasional irregular hours. Less than 10% of these job duties can be done remotely. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelors degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and / or experience.
Some weekend and evening work required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to multitask, strong written communication skills.
Knowledge of UofSC and Columbia area. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities This position requires exceptional detail work and follow through.
Excellent interpersonal skills also required to enable work with a diverse visitor population and student staff. Exceptional word processing and database skills required.

Ensure that technology for tours is prepared and in working order.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Connect with campus partners to establish information sessions and assists in managing the registration for these sessions.
Processes appointment requests from prospective students / parents and connect students with campus partners to supplement the campus tour.
Manages academic information session web content and works with staff to update as appropriate. Act as liaison between the Visitor Center and campus partners and provide campus partners with accurate and relevant visit data.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Manages special visit tour experience for weekday visitors who have been admitted to the university;
including honors and capstone admitted programs. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Provides back up coverage to manage satellite location and the management of student staff when needed.
Supports the work of all students working in the visit area portals and provides feedback as needed. Assists in the administration of tests and other University Ambassador assessments.
