Job Summary :
The CAD Drafter with Residential and Revit experience is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for residential construction projects.
This role requires proficiency in Revit and a solid understanding of residential building design and construction processes.
This is a 6 month contract to hire and has hybrid flexibility after 6 months.
Responsibilities :
- Drafting and Design :
- Create detailed architectural and structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD for residential projects.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
- Project Coordination :
- Assist in the coordination of design development and construction document preparation.
- Review and interpret design sketches, notes, and other input materials to create accurate and comprehensive drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Documentation and Revision :
- Maintain organized project files, including all drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Update and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers, architects, and engineers.
- Generate and manage drawing sets for permit applications and construction.
- Quality Control :
- Conduct thorough checks of drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or conflicts in design and documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on constructability and design improvements.
- Technical Support :
- Provide technical support and assistance to the design and construction teams.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to residential drafting and design.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
$30 - $40 an hour
Conversion salary range 60k-85k.
