Our Community Banking Managers work with business partners and regional leadership to expand relationships, focusing on the financial needs of all areas of the community while promoting the PSBT brand;
Mentor, develop and coach staff to deliver PSBT mission and values exceeding customer expectations; and counsel clients, providing needs-based financial solutions.
Essential Duties :
- Maintains working knowledge of Bank’s consumer deposit and loan product offerings as well as business deposit and cash management services.
- Engages and advises customers in person and / or virtually in order to attract, retain, and grow relationships.
- Assists clients with deposit accounts and ancillary service selections in line with their needs, opening them in a timely manner.
Handles complex business account openings with assistance.
- Proactively identifies, processes, and closes consumer loans. Recognizes mortgage opportunities and refers those appropriately.
- Collaborates with internal partners to connect customers to experts who can help them with specialized financial services including Wealth Management, Cash Management, and Merchant Processing.
- Leads, coaches, develops, and provides additional training to staff in customer relationship development and support.
- Professionally represents the bank in the community. Actively engages with the public at events to promote financial literacy and the bank’s products and services.
- Performs outbound sales calling to drive retail business opportunities to the branch and region. Works on establishing in-market connections to form referral networks.
- Implements strategies to achieve goals developed for the office and region as part of the Retail Banking Division’s annual operating plan.
- Provides branch oversight in conjunction with Assistant Branch Manager in practice of procedures and policies. Keeps up-to-date on changing banking regulations to ensure staff compliance.
- Capable of assisting with operational duties of the branch, including processing transactional activities as needed.
- Quickly and independently resolves customer and staff issues with diplomacy.
- May be required to manage more than one branch.

Requirements
Education / Training : Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree generally required.
- Skill(s) : Must demonstrate ability to communicate across various channels (face-to-face, email, video conference, text / chat, social media);
- good interpersonal relationship building skills; strong problem solving skills; able to lead, coach and motivate others;
- display some networking experience; possess a comprehensive knowledge of branch operations and administration; be conversant in consumer and business financial products and services;
strong consumer lending skills; proficient in use of various types of technology and software.
Experience : A minimum of 5 or more years' experience in a related position normally required.
