As an Engineering Business Development Representative, your role is to drive growth for our engineering services business.

You'll strategize and implement plans targeting specific industries and market segments, while also identifying and pursuing new opportunities through research and networking.

Building strong client relationships, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions are essential. Collaboration with our engineering team to develop proposals and solutions, leading negotiations, and staying updated on industry trends are also key aspects of your role.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our engineering services business, focusing on target industries and market segments.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative proposals and solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead the negotiation and closing of contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent Power Design Solutions at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our brand and establish thought leadership.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, including sales pipelines, client engagements, and revenue forecasts.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans, with a focus on driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a keen eye for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
