Regulatory Affairs Coordinator

Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based dessert.

The Company's North American operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.

Write customer specifications and food safety questionnaires. Coordinate and review and raw material and finished product regulatory documents.

Scan regulatory documents onto the shared drive for public access. Submit kosher documents for rabbinical approval and distributing to customers.

Submit organic documents to QAI for approval and distributing to customers. Submit HALAL documents to INFANCA for approval and distributing to customers.

Collect, evaluate and submit to customers annual pesticide and heavy metal raw material results. Supports internal third party and customer audits.

Coordinates cost reduction ideas and helps reduce RA operating cost. Completes Regulatory Affairs KPI's tracking measures per documented frequency to improve business results.

Data entry of nutritional values, allergen status and other critical data into data base. Complete customers finished product questionnaires.

Interact across functional groups within the organization to complete relevant regulatory documents. Participate in multifunctional teams (HACCP, Food Security, Safety).

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Customer Product Specifications and food safety questionnaires.
  • Process customer kosher, organic and halal certifications.
  • Collect, evaluate and submit to customers pesticide and heavy metal raw material results.
  • Data entry of nutritional values, allergen status and other critical data into data base.
  • Food Safety Modernization Regulations, Supplier Compliance.
  • Provides support in HACCP team, food safety initiatives, GMP audits, FSMA evaluations and plant safety team.

Formal Education Required :

  • B.S. or associate’s degree in food science and / or Nutrition or
  • Relevant experience in those fields.

Specific Experience and Key Knowledge Requirements :

  • Up to 2 Years in regulated food industry.
  • Up to 2 Years experience with Food & Drug Administration
  • Up to 1 Years HACCP, Food Defense, Food Processing experience
  • Up to 1 Year nutritional specification experience.
