Riverhawk Company designs and builds hardware systems and tooling for power generation systems and other applications for companies such as GE, Siemens, and Johnson Controls.
As a leader in engineering-driven manufacturing, Riverhawk is looking to add a Production Manager to its team. This senior level, full-time position is based out of the New Hartford, NY office.
Since this is not a remote position, we will only consider candidates who currently reside in or are looking specifically to relocate to the Upstate NY area.
What you'll do :
- Oversee all aspects of Hydraulics Manufacturing, including Machining, Planning, Assembly, and Shipping
- Ensure the proper planning and execution of production activities to meet all delivery dates, including the planning of resources needed across 20 CNC work centers
- Play a key role in expediting material through the manufacturing process
- Develop and report against metrics and KPI to ensure his / her team is effective and meeting expectations.
- Coordinate with purchasing agents for the timely receipt of raw materials and purchased components to meet production schedules
- Ensure that the Hydraulics team produces high quality machined parts with minimal scrap or rework required
- Present reports to company ownership and other management status of projects and overall performance of the production team
- Participate and contribute to senior staff level discussions and decisions regarding overall strategies, policies, and direction of the company.
- Identify, direct, lead, and / or participate in improvement projects that may require cross-functional improvement teams
- Develop annual goals and long-term goals for her / his team and individual reports
- Work closely with Human Resources for the hiring, onboarding, supervision, training and career development of salary and hourly personnel on her / his team
What we need : Applicants should have the following skills and abilities.
- Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing role with management of production teams that includes CNC machining
- Two-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required
- A four-year degree is preferred
- Prior training and displayed experience in continuous improvement, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, or similar methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills
- Microsoft Office skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using a business ERP system; Syteline experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and prior supervisory experience
- Prior experience working with a New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program preferred
- A willingness to work with varied disciplines across the company
- Prior experience with ISO 9001 preferred

Riverhawk Company offers a competitive pay and benefit package for their employees.
- Pay range - $80,000-100,000 annually (please note that this range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skills, and education as they relate to the position's qualifications.)
