Compensation $140,000 - $185,000 Per Year + Bonus- PAID RELOCATION Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Product Development Specialist to join their dynamic team reporting directly to the Senior Technical Manager.
The primary objective of this role is to drive innovation and product development in the field of coating formulations for beverage applications.
This role requires a unique blend of scientific acumen, mechanical aptitude, and a deep commitment to innovation. You will work in collaboration with our product development chemists, application, and technical service teams to develop top-notch coatings for beverage applications. Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with product development chemists to create and optimize coating formulations for beverage applications.
- Provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams, resolving coating issues as they arise.
- Analyze experimental data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Travel to customer locations to understand their business and application processes and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Lead the development of new products, adhering to specific timelines and achieving key milestones.
- Understand and improve the product manufacturing process to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with various functions within the organization. Collaborate with product development chemists to create and optimize coating formulations for beverage applications.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree or a PhD in chemistry or engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience specifically in coatings formulation
- Demonstrated mechanical skills and the ability to operate laboratory equipment
- A proven track record in the development of new products, with the ability to adhere to specific timelines
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time to learn application expertise from our equipment suppliers, customers, and trade shows
- This role can sit full-time in Milford Ohio (Cincinnati) or we can offer a 4-day on-site work week to a candidate who chooses not to relocate
- Extensive knowledge and experience in spray application processes, particularly air-less spray techniques (preferred not required)
