About the Role : Mollie Stone’s Markets has an immediate need for a Housewares Clerk at our San Bruno location. The Housewares Clerk is responsible for assisting customers in the housewares department, maintaining inventory, and ensuring that the sales floor is well-organized and stocked.

This role involves providing excellent customer service, offering product knowledge, and promoting sales of housewares items.

Essential functions : Greet customers and assist them in finding products. Answer questions about merchandise, prices, and promotions.

Provide recommendations based on customer needs. Stock shelves and ensure displays are attractive and well-organized. Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to management.

Assist in receiving and processing incoming shipments. Promote sales and special offers to customers. Process transactions at the register accurately and efficiently.

Keep the housewares area clean, organized, and safe. Follow all store policies and procedures related to safety and security.

Participate in regular inventory audits and store cleanliness initiatives. Assist in setting up promotional displays and signage.

Minimum Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in working with houseware items and knowledge of merchandising Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Able to travel to various store locations. Competencies : Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused mindset.

Team-oriented with a collaborative approach. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications : Familiarity with housewares products and trends. Experience with point-of-sale systems. Basic math skills for cash handling.

Physical Requirements : Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs. Standing : Up to 8 hours per day. Walking : Up to 8 hours per day.

Reaching : Up to 4 hours per day. Travel Requirements : Independent and reliable local travel 50% of the time. Pay scale : $16.

80-$19.50 depending on industry experience. About the Benefits : This is a union position with competitive pay.
