Sr. Technical Program Manager, AWS Security, Control Automation

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is rapidly expanding its global presence. AWS adheres to multiple industry frameworks by strategically implementing new IT processes and product security features to accommodate the requirements and to expand our global customer base.

AWS Security Assurance Engineering is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a balance of Security & Compliance depth, and strong interpersonal skills to join our team.

In this role, you will help to shape the technical, product, and execution vision for AWS's compliance landscape. You are the bridge between our software development team and the audit stakeholders.

You will lead, scale, and inspire technical projects towards controls, evidence, and workflow automation.

Key job responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage technical projects to perform deep-dives into AWS security controls and create remediation plans in support of a comprehensive security assessment and risk remediation program.

This candidate will identify, track and mitigate security and certification gaps through technical leadership, collaboration, and management of change with partners across AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's / SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
