Position Summary :
To direct and oversee all the financial activities of the business, reporting to the CFO, including preparation of an annual budget, financial analysis, accounting, financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and other applicable tax and regulatory policies as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Leads the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, job cost updates and reports for government regulatory agencies.
- Oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction.
- Manages the company's cash flow to optimize return on capital, and provide predictable and sufficient cash flow.
- Oversees accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Assist with HR / Payroll processes and reporting.
- Reviews reports to analyze projections of revenue, fees and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against actuals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
- Analyzes company operations to pinpoint opportunities for financial performance improvement. This would include analysis of profit contribution by product and region as well as analysis of corporate overhead to support and coordinate with marketing strategies.
- Confers with CFO and department heads to coordinate and prioritize planning.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall revenue and market share, opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new markets.
Estimates requirements for capital, equipment and an increase in the work force.
- Assures timely and accurate financial function in compliance with GAAP requirements.
- Workers Comp & other employee benefit reporting.
- Coordinate annual audit and external audits.
- Prepare annual budget, proposals and documentation.
- Maintain relations with banks and other financial institutions.
- Other Ad Hoc reporting

QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma or state issued equivalency.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance, required
- CPA preferred
- Five plus years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning, required.
- Manufacturing Accounting required
- A real team player with high relationship skills.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel and Word skills a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical ability to research, identify and resolve issues.
- Crystal Reports a plus

The pay for this role in the state of CA ranges from $130,000 to $165,000 annually based on years of experience, position responsibilities and geographic location.
