As a Development Engineer, you will lead the creation of groundbreaking products and refine existing ones to meet and exceed industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Innovative Product Development : Spearhead the design and engineering of cutting-edge products and enhancements.
- Customer-Centric Solutions : Translate customer needs into design solutions that align with client expectations and internal standards.
- Technical Leadership : Lead technical design initiatives, including the creation of 3D CAD models, 2D schematics, and simulation execution.
- Prototype Construction : Build and assess prototypes, manage BOMs, liaise with suppliers, and devise comprehensive testing strategies.
- Competitive Analysis : Conduct thorough competitor analysis and present key insights to inform design improvements.
- Collaboration : Partner with internal teams and oversee the management of technology projects, ensuring seamless integration and innovation.
Skills, Education, and Experience :
- Industry Experience : Over 4 years of experience in product engineering and design, particularly within the automotive sector.
- Educational Background : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Advanced degrees are advantageous.
- CAD Proficiency : Expertise in CAD software, with a preference for CREO, and skilled in creating 2D drawings with GD&T.
- Manufacturability Design : Strong background in design for manufacturability, with additional experience in designing injection-molded components preferred.
- Technical Expertise : Proficiency in mechatronics and knowledge of simulation software are highly desirable.
