Babylon is a multicultural site which integrates non-Irish people into Ireland. We have four main components : Informational content, radio, fresh journalistic content, and events.
The internship is for a minimum period of three months and the position is unpaid at the moment. It is an exciting opportunity for those who are looking for some hands-on experience.
We are looking for a highly energetic and focused Graphic Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities :
- Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size, and style and submitting them for approval.
- Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
- Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designers, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
- Communicating with clients about layout and design.
- Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as Photoshop.
- Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary in conjunction with senior management.
Requirements :
- Experience as a graphic designer or in a related field.
- Plan and design promotional materials, such as posters, cards, brochures, and social media to raise the profile of Babylon.
This may include providing mock-ups, drafts, and / or presentations of ideas.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
- Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
- Experience with computer-aided design.
- Ability to build strong relationships with the teams.
- Professional and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the flexible nature of this role.
- Bachelor’s degree within Graphic Design or a related field.
