Position Overview :
The Provider Network Access Specialist is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of assessing Network Access. This process entails tracking and monitoring access survey results, monthly referral lists, and capacity trends through visibility data.
Essential Functions :
- Assists in the tracking and trending of all network access issues and produces trend analysis.
- Investigates access issues and completes all reports and related documentation.
- Monitor provider data reporting and provide technical assistance.
- Monitor and evaluate provider access reports and determine level of follow up warranted.
- Participates in provider teaming meetings with Provider Operations staff.
- Conducts on-site provider visits if necessary, monitors access plan submissions. Travel to provider sites to observe and discuss improvement plans as needed.
- Support Network Access Supervisor and Manager of Provider Network Management in the implementation of corrective action plans.
- Participate in cross-departmental work groups
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, public health, healthcare or social sciences
- License / Certification : N / A
- Relevant Work Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in a health care or quality management setting

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to manage large data sets and summarize findings for leadership
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff (including, but not limited to : Officer, Director, Manager, and peer levels)
- Ability to manage ongoing projects and prioritize appropriately to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of DBH and DHS systems and services
- Other duties as assigned
Work Conditions (including travel, overtime required, physical requirements and occupational exposure) :
- Requires ability to work shift schedule including days, nights and overnights; schedule may vary.
- Requires ability work off-site as needed.
- Requires ability to travel, including out-of-state and overnight travel, as needed.
- Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling and / or repetitive wrist / hand movements for various lengths of time throughout the day.
- Ability to utilize computers and office equipment to complete daily work responsibilities.
- Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuation in temperature. No protective equipment routinely needed.
- Must be able to adapt to continuous changes / demands of the job.
