MUST HAVES :
- Mechanical Design experience specifically on SHEET METAL
- Prior experience running fabrication equipment : Brakes, Shears, Lasers, Punches, etc.
- Experience with nesting on lasers and punches is a PLUS

Essential Job Functions :
- Design, analyze, and test sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Conduct testing on different product lines and analyze data.
- Provide technical support to Sales, Manufacturing, QA, Service, and Customers.
- Suggest and implement design improvements.
- Introduce new projects into manufacturing, including training and work instructions.
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure department compliance with safety policies.
- Contact vendors as required.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Mechanical design experience on sheet metal
- Extensive knowledge and experience with sheet metal fabrication processes required (lasers, brakes, punches, shears, etc.).
- Prior hands on experience running the fabrication equipment
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
- Strong math skills and ability to maximize material usage.
