Quality Engineer
St Michael, MN Contract $30-37 / hr
Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer to work on a contract through the end of the year.
There is a possibility of an extension. In this Quality Engineer role, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, from new production to improvement projects.
You’ll work with high-tolerance, machined casted engine components and have a direct impact on driving quality initiatives.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities :
- Lead the completion of PPAP for new products and revisions.
- Develop and implement inspection criteria, control plans, and quality processes.
- Monitor production lines for improvement opportunities.
- Review technical drawings and provide feedback on manufacturability (DFM).
- Use data to troubleshoot and improve production processes.
- Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
- Train personnel on inspection equipment and processes.
Quality Engineer Requirements :
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) with internship experience.
- Solid understanding of GD&T.
- Experience in PPAP.
- CNC machining experience
- Six Sigma experience
- Familiarity with CMM programming and first-article inspections.
