We are in search of a CAD Drafter to join our diverse and dynamic organization out of our Walled Lake office.

This position is HYBRID (in the Walled Lake office 2 days per week).

As a core team member of our Substation Section, you will be interacting with an established group of engineers, designers and drafters, playing a valuable part in executing drafting of accurate drawing packages for utility power delivery projects, using MicroStation and AutoCAD.

What you will bring to the table :

• HS diploma or drafting certificate
• Level 1 : Less than 1 year of drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and / or Microstation. Coursework and project work will be considered.
• Level 2 : 1-3 years of drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and / or MicroStation. Coursework and project work will be considered.
• Proficiency with the manipulation of vector and raster drawing files in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Ability to create and / or modify drawings from engineer-provided markups with a high level of attention to details.
• Skilled with file sharing, document management and collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, FTP, SharePoint, Fusion, Meridian, Autodesk Vault, Workfront etc.
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills within a team environment.
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented.
• Ability to perform tasks in a fast paced engineering / production environment.

It would be nice if you had :

• AS degree in Drafting and Design degree from an accredited institution
• Skilled with protection and control and substation physical drawings for electric utility transmission projects
• The ability to comprehend and implement a wide range of client CAD standards.
• Familiarity with 3-D modelling in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and / or Inventor.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
• Knowledge of VBA and / or AutoLisp.
• QA / QC of drawings produced by the drafting team
• Command of creating process improvement policies, tools, and client specific CAD guides for drafting and engineering teams.
• Knowledge of Doc Control, Drawing Records Management, Preliminary and final IFC issuance

Pay Range :

Pay Range $37,050.00 - $66,975.00
