Critical Care RN Contract - San Marcos, TX

As a competent Nurse, you'll practice independently in a critical care setting, providing both routine and complex care.
You'll have the opportunity to develop long-range goals and manage clinical contingencies, making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.
Responsibilities
- Meet expectations of applicable competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and / or caregivers.

Job Requirements
Education / Skills
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
Experience
1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- BLS required.
- RN License in state of employment or compact.
