Acorn Hill Animal Hospital is seeking a veterinary leader to join our practice as a Medical Director.Our Medical Director supports the team and upholds a positive teamwork environment in which our veterinarians and staff deliver quality medicine and exceptional client service.

While partnering with the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership for the practice, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring medical regulatory compliance.

You Will Love

  • Supporting the DVM staff in their professional development and skills training, while providing clinical and administrative guidance for the practice's the medical team
  • Partnering with your regional operations manager to ensure compliance with regulations, assist in the preparation of annual planning strategy, and develop a vision for the growth of the practice
  • Partnering with local hospital leadership to lead the team, ensuring a culture of teamwork, high quality medicine, and financial success for the clinic

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university, or equivalent
  • Active licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Texas
  • 5+ years of practice experience preferred
  • Positive and effective leadership
  • A strong ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence
  • Commitment to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Experience effectively delegating tasks and achieving results with practice team members

Our state-of-the-art facility includes surgical and multi-faceted medical equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, an in-house laboratory, a pharmacy, and so much more! We pride ourselves on having all the bells and whistles so that we can provide the highest quality care possible for our patients.

We provide complete care including preventative and wellness, radiology, dentistry, surgery, rehabilitation, hospitalization capabilities, daytime ER care (if our schedule allows), in-house bloodwork, and end-of-life care.

We also partner with our local community, including a Licensed Dog Trainer, who works with our patients on behavior management.
