RequirementsCompletion of American Registry of Radiographic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology program.Current ARRT registry required within 6 months of the date of hireMust maintain continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.

Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.New grad’s are welcome to apply!Preferred : Two years of experience as a Registered radiographer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms a wide variety of diagnostic examinations which results in the production of diagnostic radiographs.

Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures.Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiographic equipment.

Assists radiologists in performing routine and / or special procedures. Administers specific contrast and barium solutions as directed by the Radiologist or other physician in accordance with established guidelines.

Provides instruction to x-ray students.Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the age group served.
