The Siemens Industry,Inc. distribution center in Roebuck, SC is seeking a ProductionTechnician to be an integral member of a diverse and dynamic team.

The Production Technician reports to theProduction Supervisor of the shift, with a dotted line to the ManufacturingEngineer / Technical Expert.

Position Hours : 12 Hour A shift.

12 Hour A shift.

  • 6am to 6pm
  • Rotating one week 36hrs, the next week 48hrs
  • Every other weekend off, Saturday, Sunday,& Monday

The key elements of this role involve the following :

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining systems associated withproduction processes, flow, equipment, communications, including the DailyProduction Tracker, identifying production waste, leading kaizen events, CIPBoards / meetings, Safety One A Day, Production Schedule, etc
  • Supporting the implementation of newtechnologies, processes, and equipment
  • Troubleshooting machine CNC controllers& process flow solving
  • Investigating root causes of problems withprocesses, methods, tools, equipment, and materials and safety
  • Completing the preparation ofsophisticated charts, graphs and diagrams to illustrate operation flow, layout,and workflow.
  • Conducting studies to improve efficiency,quality, costs, and safety.
  • Making recommendations on methods ofoperation, workstations, floor layout, and equipment.
  • Enabling collaboration with supportfunctions including critical material issues, training matrix, shift pass down / handovers, shortages, material identification, etc.
  • Backing up Supervisor for Floor schedulecontroller.

BasicQualifications

  • 3 + years of experience in manufacturingor leadership roles
  • Knowledge on all operations in theFabrication area including processes, machines, material flow, etc
  • Excellent time management skills and theability to prioritize work
  • Knowledge & understanding ofproduction schedules
  • 6 or less Attendance Points (forinternals)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in SAP, DMM & basiccomputer skills is a plus
  • Lean practitioner / lean training is aplus
